Newsletter – Nov 27th 2012
Dear All,
We sincerely hope that you all had a happy and successful Thanksgiving Holiday. If success is measured in the amount of food consumed then we had a very successful holiday, and are in the process of minimizing that success during this week that follows.
Due to the fact that both November and December are truncated months with opportunities to dance being shortened because of Holidays, we have decided to continue in December with the same dances from November so that everyone will get a little extra practice and learn a few more steps (better a couple of days extra than a couple of days short, I say).
Those of you who missed the previous month’s classes are welcome to join us. November has been a short month (with fewer steps taught because of it) so it will be easy to catch up, and we will be reviewing (teaching again) the steps we already learned before we move on. You will be brought up to speed quickly.
See you on dance floor.

This class uses basic Bronze (and some Silver) steps to develop and strengthen your ability to dance smoothly and boldly (which, just between you and me, is where the real fun is hidden). The International Technique also applies to American Style dances and will strengthen ones ability to have more power and control when dancing in the American Style.

SPECIAL SATURDAY EVENING DANCE WORKSHOP: December 1st
At the Mt. Shasta Park and Recreation District
1315 Nixon Rd.
Dudes and Daisies Building

7:00-9:00: While there will be some time allotted to practice at the end of the Foxtrot workshop this evening, there will be no actual 2 hour Practice Session until the 2nd Saturday.
This is a special workshop to get those of you who have not had much dancing experience a chance to get started with basic steps from the easiest dance there is. And it will help those of you with experience to develop a deeper understanding of the underlying principles of Foxtrot (and all dancing).
Cost: $10.00 for 2 hour class
This Saturday’s evening class will be replaced by the special Foxtrot Workshop.
We will be holding a class and Open Dance Session (aka Practice Party) at the Mt. Shasta Park, Mt. Shasta every 2nd and 4th Saturday evening of the month through the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons)
