Ballroom Newsletter July 30th 2013
Dear Dancer,
Whereas: The Fourth of July robbed the Thursday night class of one lesson (giving it only three for the month), and
Whereas: There are five Thursdays in August,
Therefore: Instead of moving on to Bolero in the Thursday night class, we are going to have one more night of Foxtrot this week,
Thereby: Giving July four classes of Foxtrot, giving August four nights of Bolero and keeping the Wednesday/Thursday nights equal.
Plainly stated, plainly explained.
Also, we are going to be using the Saturday night classes to prepare for the Big Band Bash on September 21st by holding a series of Foxtrot and Swing/Jive classes (with the occasional Waltz thrown in since the band does play the occasional Waltz) designed to introduce anyone new to those dances and simultaneously advance the more experienced dancer. Come prepare for the Bash or just come to learn these two (sometimes three) really fun dances. Your choice (but only if you attend).
For the Quickstep, the Saturday Morning Workshop will more than adequately prepare you for the Quicksteps the band will play (or for any other circumstance you may get the chance to do Quickstep). Again, learn it for yourself whether you intend to attend the Big Band Bash or not. You won’t be sorry.
Please come join us.
See you on the dance floor.
