Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County – January 14th 2014
Dear Dancer,
So many of you have already broken your New Year’s resolution to dance more in 2014 (thereby reaping the physical benefits, the social benefits and the personal benefits inherent in partner dancing) that we have taken it upon ourselves to issue a general amnesty and promise to welcome you back with open arms (so to speak). All is forgiven so come join us and soar to new heights of health, well being, social adeptness and personal accomplishment. You will have fun, we guarantee it.
Also, if you will remember, Carla’s Dance Party was postponed last December because of our one snow storm so far this Winter. Well she is going to hold it again this Friday (Jan 17th). It will still be at the Mt. Shasta Brewing Company in Weed (address below) in the upstairs lounge area. Music from the Fifties and Sixties will be featured, so come prepared to Swing Dance and Rock and Roll. We have once again been invited to present a lecture demonstration (with audience participation, if they/you wish) on Nightclub Two Step, a dance that can be done to a wide variety of music (including Fifties and Sixties music). Also, music to dance Cha Cha, Rumba, Waltz, Foxtrot and other Ballroom dances will be available on request. Looking forward to seeing you there
See you on the dance floor.
