Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County – February 18th 2014
Dear Dancer,
Well here it is, time for another Carla’s Swing Dance Party. This coming Friday Carla will be hosting another Swing Dance party in the upstairs lounge of the the Mt. Shasta Brewery in Weed. The space has a fabulous dance floor (sprung) which everyone should experience.
We will be doing a review and continuation of the Night Club Two Step and we will be playing the music for it throughout the evening along with plenty of Swing Dance music (and any Ballroom music requested). There is a new singing group called Under The Lamp Post who sings old Swing songs with a modern flair that we will be featuring this week. Come and dance (or at least listen) to their Swings and Night Club Two Steps.
So, even if you don’t come to dance, come to listen to the music and try the food and drink that can be obtained downstairs at the bistro and enjoyed in the booths that line the dance floor. If it is half as fun as it was last time it will still be twice as fun as not coming at all.
Don’t forget, the Saturday morning Technique Class will be held at the Rec Center (main lodge) in Mt. Shasta Park instead of the Dudes and Daisies again this week.
See you on the dance floor.
