Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County – September 16th 2014
Dear All,
Our hearts and sympathy go out to any of you who live in Weed (indeed, to all Weed residents). Those who have not been burned out are probably suffering from the smoke and we pray that this fire is controlled as quickly as possible.
The School Hill Wellness Center has burned completely to the ground and we especially extend our sorrow and condolences to the organization and the staff (all of whom made it out safely) for their losses. Both the organization’s and private individuals possessions were burned up in the fire. Obviously, no classes will be held there.
We have decided to replace the Wednesday night Bolero class with Samba, so that if any of our students from the Weed area who have been taking the Weed classes want to take their minds off things for an hour, they can continue with their lessons (though please understand that we don’t expect anyone to stray too far from their homes in case a general evacuation is ordered or becomes necessary).
Our prayers are with you. Take care of yourselves first and foremost.
SATURDAY EVENING CLASS AND PRACTICE SESSION HAS BEEN CANCELLED THIS WEEK.
We will NOT be holding an evening class and practice session due to extenuated circumstances.
