Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County – September 23rd 2014
Dear All,
A number of changes coming up:
First, and most obviously, no Thursday classes until we can find a Weed or Weed-local venue to continue. Our hearts are still broken at the loss of such a wonderful facility for the Weed Community.
Second, the Ballroom for Parkinson’s class will be moving from Wednesdays at 12:00 noon to Fridays at 12:15 pm. It will still be an hour long class. This will not happen, however until October (next week). No Parkinson’s class this week.
Third, the Saturday morning Technique class will be moving up from 10:00 am to 9:45 am, (15 minutes earlier) to accommodate a scheduling requirement. It will still be the same great class.
And, finally, Fourth, the Saturday evening Class and practice session (open dancing time) is going to move the occasional Friday nights (on those nights we don’t go to Fort Jones). It will happen at least once each month, possibly twice, depending on interest.
And, a quick reminder: the deadline for signing up for the COS Ballroom class is next Monday. We have included the registration information near the bottom of this newsletter for those of you might be interested. It will be a good introduction to the four most basic dances in Ballroom.
Be Seeing You.
Feel free to call us if you have any questions (number below).

SATURDAY MORNING TECHNIQUE CLASS: September 27
This Saturday we will be at the
Dudes & Daisies Lodge

This month’s dance; Quickstep

Developing these basic movement skills will improve your performance in, not just this dance, but all of the dances by giving you more control over your balance, timing and power. And that’s just too much fun to miss out on. So give it a try.
10:45 – 11:45 am – Amalgamations. Putting the drills you worked on in the first hour to work in the actual steps as you develop more control over the steps, floorcraft and yourself.
