Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – February 10th 2015
Dear All,
A quick trip to Redding yesterday showed us the benefits of all this rain, in that Lake Shasta was more than half-way back to being full from its previous drought-induced levels, so huzzah for all the rain.
Some of you are probably tired of it, so as a mood-enhancing, spirit-rejuvenating activity, let us encourage you all to come to dance class. Want something spicy? Come to the Salsa class. Want something slow and sensuous? Come to the Rumba class. Want something smooth, classy and elegant? Come to the Foxtrot class. Want to work hard and improve your skills? Come to the Saturday morning technique class and learn how to become a powerful, elegant dancer (and learn to Waltz, which is the dance of the month in the Technique class).
One of the nice things about Ballroom Dance is that inclement weather does not even slow it down. In fact, the worse the weather, the better the opportunity to dance with someone in your arms or in the arms of someone. Don’t forget, Valentine’s Day is coming up, and romance is in the air (I thought I smelled something …something nice, that is).
And speaking of romance, for those of you in the Fort Jones/Yreka area (or those of you who might want to visit the Fort Jones area), we are teaching that most romantic of all the dances, the Waltz. Just in time for Valentines day. Come and learn, come and dance.
So whether you come to learn the Waltz or come to learn and/or develop the art of being simultaneously spicy, sensuous, smooth, classy and elegant, please join us this week.
See you there.
