Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – July 7th 2015

Dear All,

One major change this week: The Saturday morning Technique Class will be held in the Lower Lodge in Mt. Shasta City Park instead of the Dudes and Daisies (which is right next door). That will be for this week only and we will be back next week in the usual place.

This week the Beginning Class will start the Bolero and we heartily encourage you all to come. The Bolero is an extraordinary dance that combines the sensuality of the Rumba with the Romanticism and flowing nature of the Waltz, combining them into one of the most enjoyable of the Latin dances and a dances and one of the most expressive.

Come join us for a week of sensuous romanticism. Or, if you prefer, a week of romantic sensuality. Your call. We can teach it either way.

See You There!

This Month’s (July) Dance:   Waltz

9:45 – 10:45 – Technique Drills in International Standard & American Smooth Style Dances. Focusing on the elements that make partner dancing more fluid, dynamic, powerful and fun: Lowering, Rotation, Swing and Sway. Developing these basic movement skills will improve your performance in, not just this dance, but all of the dances by giving you more control over your balance, timing and power. And that’s just too much fun to miss out on. So give it a try.

10:45 – 11:45 – Amalgamations. Putting the drills you worked on in the first hour to work in the actual steps as you develop more control over the steps, floorcraft and yourself.

Cost : $15 per person

$10 youth discount
