Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – December 1st 2015

Dear All,

The holiday season is once again upon us, which means some of our classes will not be held.  As follows:

Please observe that there will be no classes at all the week of Christmas (except for Saturday).  We are letting you know this now to help facilitate any holiday plans you may wish to make.

The good news is that because December is a five Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday month, you will all still get four good classes in this month for each dance (except the Thursday class only gets 3, because it is impacted by both Christmas and New Year’s).

We look forward to having you all in classes this month.

See You There.

1315 Nixon Rd, Mt. Shasta Ca

Saturday Mornings December 5, 12, 19, 26

This month’s dance:  Foxtrot

9:45 – 10:45 am:     Technical drills in International and American Smooth Style dances.  Focusing on the elements that make Partner dancing more fluid, dynamic, powerful and fun: Lowering, Rotation, Swing, Cant and Sway.  Developing these basic skills will improve your performance in not just this dance, but in all of the dances by giving you more control over your balance, timing and power.

And that is just too much fun to miss out on.   So what say you give it a try?

10:45 – 11:45 am:      Amalgamations.   Putting the drills you worked on in the first hour to work in the actual steps of the dance, allowing you to develop more control over the steps, floorcraft and yourself.

COST:  $15/person

               $10/person youth discount

NEXT MONTH’S DANCE:   Quickstep
