Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – June 7th 2016
Dear All,
Our thanks to all of you who came to the Country/Ballroom Jamboree. Some of us jamboed, some of us boreed, most of us jamboreed completely and some of us boreejamboed by mistake but all of us had a good time. It is always a pleasure to see our Country Dance friends from Sacramento, and our kids . . . that is to say our young adults . . . can always be counted on to enliven any function as they did this one.
Now, finally, to Cha-cha. The Tuesday night beginning class commences this week (the first Tuesday in June) with the Cha-cha which is a spirited dance of coordination and fun. Join us for a night of learning and fun.
Other than that, no news. Except to mention that on Saturday the 18th there will be no Technique class since your instructors will be attending a workshop of their own that day in their tireless (not to mention endless) quest to acquire new steps and new combinations so that we can pass them on to you and keep your training exciting and up to date.
The dances being taught at this workshop are Bolero, Foxtrot, Samba and Tango, so look for some exciting new steps this month in Samba and Tango. And next month, for the Tango.
So come to classes now and hone your skills so that you will be ready for some never-before-seen (in Siskiyou County) figures and amalgamations. Like fine silver, a certain amount of polish is required to shine, and practice is the best polish. Come to class and shine.
See You There.
