Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – October 18th 2016
Dear All,
Are all of you ready to head out for the Great Indoors? What’s so Great about Indoors, you ask? Well, let’s see . . . if I were to take a stab in the dark and come up with a completely off the cuff answer, I would probably come up with something totally unexpected like . . . DANCING! (Where does he get these wild ideas? No one saw that coming!)
More challenging than hiking, drier than swimming, less repetitive than biking (pedal up, pedal down, pedal up, pedal down . . . I mean, come on . . .) no knee pads or elbow pads required and completely free from wild animal encroachments (as in “Bear! Run for your lives!”) And it is a totally indoor activity! You almost have to do it indoors! How great is that?
Dancing and the Great Indoors! Winter do your worst; you hold no terrors for us! We can remain just as active as we are in Summer and you can’t stop us, Winter!
And there are so many choices (see newsletter below). At least five different ones this month alone (Rumba, Foxtrot, Swing, Waltz and Tango)! Take one, take two or take them all and really get the physical and health benefits that dancing has to offer. And be more fit when you launch into next Summer’s outdoor activities!
So come to class and thumb your noses in Old Man Winter’s face. You will be glad you did (and he won’t hold it against you).
See You There.
