Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyiou County & Northern California – April 25th 2017

Dear All,

Here it is, the last week of April already.  For an activity as timeless as dancing, the time certainly seems to rush by.  Next thing you know, Bolero will move to Thursday and become more advanced, Salsa will move to Wednesday and become more intermediate and Swing/Jive will appear, as if out of nowhere.

Oh.  That is exactly what will be happening in May.  But I say, let’s finish April with a bang!  Come to classes and shine! Polish those skills you have been honing all month long!  Learn that last fancy step you have been working towards all month.

Of course, you could just stay at home and at the stroke of midnight on April 30th, you could leap out of your chair and shout “Shazzam!”.   That, too, would finish your month with a bang.

But if you reach down into your own souls; deep, deep down into your own souls, and ask yourself that question which has plagued mankind since the dawn of time: “What would I rather be better at: Dancing or leaping out of chairs and shouting ‘Shazzam!’?”, I think that if you are truly honest with yourselves, you will know what the answer is.

Then come to class and make it so.

See you there.

(Just a “Heads Up” for May:  In the first two weeks of May, we will be holding our classes at the Fitness Center at the south end of Mount Shasta in the hand ball court.  The Wellness Center will be re-finishing the wood floor in the Classroom so we will have a lovely floor not only for the rest of May, but the rest of all time for your dancing pleasure.  More about that next week).
