Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – December 18th 2017
Dear All,
HO, HO, HO! . . . A collection of garden implements? A line-up of ladies of the night? Or the cheerful vocalizations of an itinerant but merry bearer of gifts? I guess that depends on what’s on your Christmas list. For us, the first letter is the first letter of the word “heel” and the second letter is the dominant sound of the word “toe” as in heel-toe, heel-toe, slide, slide, slide, slide (the basic movement of the Gallop, a dance not done much these days). But that’s just us.
And speaking of dance (how smooth was THAT segue?), it’s getting close to that time of year where one has come to realize that they have put their Christmas shopping off until ‘way too late and are scrabbling to find a special gift for that special someone.
Well, scrabble no further! We come bearing the gift of the chance to buy The-Gift-Of-Dance Certificates (and since neither of us are Greek, you can trust this gift completely!). And as a special bonus, to make it easier for you to pick one (or more) certificate up, we will have someone installed at the Wellness Center this Saturday Afternoon (12:00 n – 6:00 pm), on the 23rd of December and Sunday morning (6:00 am -12:00 n) on the 24th of December so you can waltz right in and purchase one with no hassle! Just ask for Rick (moi – as in “me“, not as in the kissy noise!).
Remember, if you give the gift of dance AND the gift of yourself as a dance partner, you will have one of the most highly personalized gifts ever (and next year, you really will be able to Waltz right in to pick up your next certificate)!
Meanwhile, back at the dance floor, classes are continuing this week as is the inherent fun that comes with dance class. Come partake of both.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:Â Next Tuesday and Wednesday classes are cancelled as your instructors will be out of town for the holiday. We fully intend to hold the Thursday and Saturday classes unless circumstances of a certain extenuation occur, in which case we will notify everyone involved.
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Festive Kwanza and a Celebratory Everything Else!
Be Seeing you in class.
