Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – July 2nd – 2018
Dear All,
A small number of changes: first, JULY! The dances move, the dances change; just like people! And just like people, the dances grow! Come join the dances and do all of that yourselves!
Bolero becomes the Tuesday night dance, Tango moves to Wednesday and continues and Rumba moves to Thursday where it becomes something really special!
Second, no classes on the Fourth of July as the Wellness Center will be closed. You are all free to celebrate all that there is to celebrate! That is what freedom is all about (but you won’t be free to take a dance class. . . sorry about that, chief). So, no Tango this week but come a’rarin’ to go the following Wednesday on the 11th!
Third, in July, the Fort Jones classes will be meeting on the 1st & 3rd Friday (7/6 & 7/20) instead of the 2nd & 4th Friday as we usually do. We expect this to return to normal in August.
And, fourth & lastly, this Saturday (and this Saturday only) the Technique class will be meeting in the Main Lodge (aka the Rec. Center, aka the Senior Dining Hall aka the Hootenanny Hoe-down Shin-dig Dance Palace when the Hootenanny Hoe-down Shin-dig crowd are in town).
We will be starting with that most elegant of all the dances, the Foxtrot this Saturday. Come join us and more importantly, come and join the Dance!
Be seeing you.
