Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – September 17th 2018
Dear All,
No need for alarm, folks; that glowing, yellow ball in the sky is called the “sun” and it has been there, apparently, all Summer long. It is reckoned to be a beneficial phenomenon which, distant memory vaguely recalls, has been a regular feature in the sky for at least decades.
Now that the smoke has cleared and we can see this ”sun” thing again, make sure you don’t spend too much time in it. It is also reckoned, I hear tell, to have a few dangerous qualities. Perhaps an indoor dance class or two would provide a good balance. Eh?
Speaking of which, this week we will continue with the Swing on Wednesday nights. It is not too late to join as we will be reviewing the basic steps again this week before adding a couple of new ones. So, join us, already!
The Bolero, on Thursday nights, is proving to be both fun & challenging at the Intermediate/Advanced level. If you feel up to it, join us for one of the most enjoyable challenges this side of Three-Dimensional Sudoku (and from a physical culture perspective, a lot better for you, too)!
Don’t forget that starting in October (on the 9th of October) we have a Salsa class starting up at COS in Yreka. There is still lots of room for you in that class. The enrollment particulars are:
Course number 7371 – XFW 0311-01, Tuesdays, 10/2/2018 -11/13/2018, 6:30pm -8:30 pm at the Yreka campus (2001 Campus Drive) in room 7.
The enrollment not-too-particulars are: show up on the first day of class and sign up then. Either way, we look forward to having you join us.
Be seeing you (in class).
