Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – October 22nd 2018
Dear Dancers,
Well, here it is, the last full week of October. Where does the time go? (Perhaps Stephen Hawking knew once, but most of the rest of us simply recognize the fact that the time has gone with no thought given as to where it might be going.)
And why are the years getting shorter and shorter? We, personally, think that “they” are stealing time from our years (and by ‘our’ I am referring to people of that certain age) in order to make kids’ years longer (the ingrates). Makes absolute sense to me (though it probably wouldn’t have to Stephen Hawking).
Why bring this up in a newsletter regarding Ballroom Dance? Because every hour that passes without dancing is an hour of (gasp) no dancing! Every dance class that one misses goes waltzing off (so to speak) to the same place that time goes after it has gone. And we just don’t know where that is do we?
But every dance class you take remains with you, despite the best efforts of time to drag it off. When you take an hour dance class, you get to keep that hour in your life for the rest of your life. So, don’t do it for us, do it for the sake of keeping as many hours in your life as possible and, ultimately, do it for the Dance (not to mention the dancing)!
Come join us in each and/or every class and watch your lives get longer hour by hour.
Be seeing you.
