Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – October 29th 2018

ear Dancers,

Election Day comes early!  No, not THAT election day, this one:  in our Wednesday night Swing/Jive class, we will be having you, the students, vote on how this class will proceed.

Will it continue on as a Swing/Jive class?  Will it become a beginning Night Club Two Step class? Or might it even become a beginning Salsa class.  It will be up to you, so be sure and attend to get your own personal two cents in (or “tuppence”, as they call it in the British Isles).

This class will remain on Wednesdays (instead moving on to Thursday), no matter what the decision, as that seems to be working so well for so many.  So, come out and vote for your favorite dance this Wednesday night Oct. 31st (6:45 – 7:45 pm) or if you can’t make it, send in your vote by e-mail and let us know your druthers and we will let you know by next Monday’s newsletter what the results are.

AB[hn8=* (one of the kittens we are currently fostering just typed those last eight characters, and if he thought his message was important enough for you to read, then we have no choice but to leave it in.  If you know the code, you know what he wants you to know.  If you don’t, then you aren’t “in the club” and it is better that you don’t understand. ‘Nuff said).

The Thursday night class spent the month of October PRETENDING to be a Waltz class but has actually been a very advanced Bolero class (since all of the attendees had attended the preceding Bolero class and just didn’t want it to end – so it didn’t).  So, this month it is back, only this time as an actual Waltz class.  Those of you who have been wringing your hands and sobbing yourselves to sleep over having failed to take advantage of the chance to waltz may now emit shrieks of triumph & gladness and do hand-springs of joy.  And take the bloomin’ Waltz class this time!  ‘Nuff said.

Be seeing you.

9:45 – 11:45 am

And that is just too much fun to miss out on!   So, what say you give it a try?  Eh?

10:45 – 11:45 am:      Amalgamations.   Putting those drills you worked on in the first hour to work in the actual Figures of the dance, allowing you to develop more control over the steps, floor craft and yourself.
