Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – November 26th 2018
Dear Dancers,
Yikes! The Battle of the (Turkey)Bulge is upon us! Man the battle-lines (i.e. quick take lots of dance classes)! Call out the Cavalry (i.e. dance like you have never danced before)! Bring out the big guns (i.e. take technique classes up the kazoo)! We can win this, people, with resolve, dedication & the intestinal fortitude to make long term commitments!
And speaking of resolve, come to our Swing/Jive Dance clinic this Tuesday at the Wellness Center from 6:45 to 7:45 pm. We will go over the basics for those of you who want basics. We will go over some of the more complex steps you have been learning over the last couple of months for those of you who want to polish those steps. We will go over the lead follow that will make Swing/Jive easier and more fun! We will go over everything! Beginners also welcome. A win for everyone! Then, come again on Wednesday for your last shot at Swing (for a while anyway).
Seriously, now is a good time to put your best foot forward. What’s that? You say you don’t know which foot is your best foot? Well, come to dance class and let us show you. Within a few short minutes not only will we be able to identify your best foot, but we will be able to determine how to bring that other foot up to speed as well. And once both feet become your “best foot”, there will be no stopping you on the dance floor! Commit to the process and we guarantee that we can get you there!
And, if you want to encourage your friends/loved ones/family members/etc. to get in on all the fun, we will be offering our Holiday Gift Certificates (starting next week) to give to with whomever you wish to share this journey. An awkward sentence, I realize, but a great idea! Or you could give a gift to yourself and save money on private lessons.
Details to be presented in next week’s newsletter!
Until then, turkey-bulge or not, come to classes and have a ball while you develop the skills that will allow you to attend a ball!
–
Be seeing you.
