Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – April 22nd 2019

Dear All,

Some of you may have noticed that the classes listed for the Wellness Center for next month are going to be (with the exclusion of the new Tuesday night Tango class) the same dances that we had in April.  The Wednesday & Thursday class dances are going to be the same dances (Rumba & Foxtrot), but they will be jumping up to the next level of advancement.  So that means more steps and more practice for you.

We are doing this to get back on schedule our usual Wellness Center schedule now that the COS Tuesday night classes are drawing to a close.  By doing this we are making sure that you will get your three months of each dance.

Make sure you come to classes this week to give yourselves a smooth transition to the next level in May (and to simply learn how to dance or dance better).  We look forward to seeing you this week.

And we look forward to introducing our COS students to the Swing & Salsa this week.  Fun for All and All for Fun!  Or something like that….

Be seeing you all in class.

Saturday Morning Technique Class

Mt. Shasta City Park

Dance Lodge

Saturday Mornings: April 6, 13, 20, 27

9:45 – 11:45 am

Dance:   Waltz

9:45 – 10:45 am:     Technical drills in International and American Smooth Style dances specifically designed to strengthen and improve your dancing and dancing abilities.  Focusing on the elements that make Partner dancing more fluid, dynamic, powerful and fun: Lowering, Rotation, Swing, Cant and Sway.  Developing these basic skills will improve your performance in not just this dance, but in all the dances by giving you more control over your balance, timing, power and expression.   Or, in other words, allowing you to dance freely and funly.

And that is just too much fun to miss out on!   So, what say you give it a try?  Eh?

10:45 – 11:45 am:      Amalgamations.   Putting those drills you worked on in the first hour to work in the actual Figures of the dance, allowing you to develop more control over the steps, floor craft and yourself.

COST:  $15/person

               $10/person youth discount
