Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – September 6th 2022

Dear All,

Even though the word “swelter” starts with “swel”, there is nothing swell about sweltering.  We can forlornly hope that this period of sweltering heat will be short . . . or . . . we can be proactive and traipse ourselves off to an air-conditioned environment like . . . oh, say . . . the room where we teach our dance classes!

Too hot to Salsa?  Not in our classroom!  Too hot to trot (fox, that is)?  Not in our classroom!  You can sit at home and sweat and swelter (and stick to the leather furniture) or you can peel yourself off the leather, jump into your air-conditioned vehicles and drive to an air-conditioned classroom and learn how to dance!  And how cool will you be once you do dance?  The coolness just doesn’t stop coming.

So, rev up your mojo and come join us (yes, that’s right: us!) in class this week (month, year).  You won’t be sorry.  And we won’t be sorry to see you there.  We look forward to it, in fact.

Glad to be seeing you there.

Cheers,

Rick and (yay) Peggy Nixon

p.s.  We have relaxed Mask Protocols..  We will encourage the un-vaccinated to do what you feel is best for yourselves and will happily don our own masks when dealing with you specifically should you so desire.  Otherwise, we are all on our own, now, as so-called adults should be.  Make your decisions accordingly but make them based on real information.  Don’t be afraid to wear them, but don’t feel that you must.

p.p.s.    What do you call it when The Lone Ranger takes you out for dinner and a movie?  A “masked man date”!
