Ballroom Newletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – December 12th 2022
Dear All,
Well, we weren’t sure it was going to happen, but the Christmas Dance Party is a go! This Friday night December 16th from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm! Victoria has reserved the space (the Community Center at Lake Shastina, 15244 Driftwood Lane, Lake Shastina) and will be your host as well. It looks like our students (Maddelyn Bryan, Malachi Bryan, etc.) will be handling the music and will have some great new stuff for you!
There will be snacks and refreshments provided, but you will always be welcome to bring your own favorites to share. If that is not possible, come without and there will still be plenty for everyone.
Alas, Peggy and I won’t be able to be there (due to some health logistics with Rick) but we are donating music and, combined with what Malachi will be adding, you are in for a great night of dancing. A good time will be had by all (or else!).
What’s that you say? You don’t have enough steps? Well come to classes this week and learn some from Rick and Peggy! Basic Samba and Viennese Waltz which, added to your slow Waltz and Bolero and Foxtrot and Rumba and all the rest, you will be nicely set up! And a better time will be had by all (or else!).

p.s. We have relaxed Mask Protocols.. We will encourage the un-vaccinated to do what you feel is best for yourselves and will happily don our own masks when dealing with you specifically should you so desire. Otherwise, we are all on our own, now, as so-called adults should be. Make your decisions accordingly but make them based on real information. Don’t be afraid to wear them, but don’t feel that you must.
p.p.s. What do you call it when The Lone Ranger takes you out for dinner and a movie? A “masked man date”!
