Ballroom Newsletter, Sisiyou County & Northern California – February 26th 2018
Dear All,
Big changes in March!
First, the normal changes: The Saturday Technique classes will change to Viennese Waltz for the next two months (International Style the first month (in which there are only six figures – nine if you count the three permutations – and some really fun American Style variations in the second month -April). Come and learn everything you need to know (and more!) about Viennese Waltz!
OH! And lest I forget: This Saturday (only) the Technique class will be meeting in the Main Lodge/Rec Center (the first building you come to in the park) at the usual time. Which means it will be warmer.
Second: ordinarily, this Thursday would be Salsa, making this one of those end-of-the-months where we have one dance for two days in a row. But circumstances dictated that more than half the class had to miss last Thursday, we have decided to leave the Nightclub Two Step on Thursday for one more night (March 1st) to round off the curriculum for the whole class. Salsa will still get four nights in March, so no harm done.
And, finally, the big changes: Due to rising costs in heating, air-conditioning and power, the Wellness Center has found it necessary to raise our rental rates, making it necessary for us to raise our class rates. We have kept our increase as minimal as possible to inconvenience our students as little as possible. The rates will increase to around a smidge over $1 per class (except for the Ten Class Cards, which will go up $1 only). Following are the tables.
Non-Members: Members:
$8/Single Class $8/Single Class
$25/Four class Card $15/Four Class Card
$50/Eight Class Card $30/Eight Class Card
$60/10 Class Card $35/Ten Class Card
All class cards purchased at the former will be honored until they expire.
As the rent has remained the same at our other venues (Saturdays at the park or Fridays in Fort Jones or anywhere else a class may occur), there will be no increase in the cost of those classes in the foreseeable future.
We dearly appreciate each and everyone of you and hope that this does not deter you in your quests for improved skills at dancing (and, of course, fun. Don’t forget the fun!). To make it up to you, will teach $1 harder in every class to make sure your training keeps up with the costs. No, wait . . . what the hell . . .we will teach $2 harder in each class. That way you will all come out ahead.
Thanks for your understanding.
Be seeing you in class.
