Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – March 12th 2018
Dear All,
First, a big thank you to our COS students. You are a great group to work with and you all (as in each & every one of you) are doing well. We should be able to announce the next series of classes by tomorrow. (That is our fervent hope. We shall see.)
Next, be sure and join us next week at the Mt. Shasta Fitness & Wellness Center for our Latin Technique Workout Class! It is a non-partnered (as in “no partners”) class designed to improve your control over your hip action & footwork using the basic (& slightly more than basic) steps & figures of the Rumba, Cha-cha, Salsa, Swing & Samba. It will strengthen (read tighten) your abdominals, improve your balance, enhance your dancing skills & provide a pretty good workout as well. If it proves to be popular we will continue it until everyone is slim, svelte & has flawless footwork.
And, finally, don’t forget that Saturday is St. Patrick’s Day, & what better way to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day than by taking a class in the Gaelic Waltz, which is the Viennese Waltz, only everyone is dressed in green. I, myself (by whom you all know we mean Rick), will participate by wearing my infamous green underwear (infamous because I have been wearing them since last week and will continue to wear them through next Saturday to ensure that they will be nice and green by then) which is truly a sight to behold, begorrah. Join us.
Be seeing you in class.
