Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – January 14th 2019
Dear All,
Well, January has started off with a bang. In fact, let’s make 2019 be the year of The Dance (a simplification from 2018, which Washington D.C. has made the year of the Song and Dance).
Dedicate yourselves to growing your dance skills and we will dedicate ourselves to making the best dancers you can be. And trust us, that is a lot better than you may believe possible. Trust us to prove it to you.
It is still not too late to join the Foxtrot class. The first class was only last week and this week we will be reviewing what we learned so it will be easy to catch-up. And it is the easiest of all the dances to learn and makes a great place to start your life-long love affair with dance, so come one, come all, come any number in between!
The other classes are proving to be just as much fun as they can be (and more!) so you are welcome and encouraged to attend those classes as well.
Speaking of the year of the Dance, don’t forget another opportunity for learning those dancing skills that you will be spending the rest of your lives developing (and loving every minute of it!) don’t forget our beginning series up in Yreka at the College of The Siskiyous!
It will be a great place for beginners to start, a great place for those of you who took last year’s class to review and learn new steps and a great place for the more advanced dancer to hone their skills.
We have placed the registration information just below this newslettery part of the newsletter (and just before This Week’s Schedule) where we will be leaving it for the rest of the month. Register on-line, in person or come to the first day of class and sign up there. Couples, singles, everyone is welcome.
Come join us!

Saturday Mornings: January 5, 12, 19, 26
9:45 – 11:45 am
Dance: Foxtrot I
9:45 – 10:45 am: Technical drills in International and American Smooth Style dances specifically designed to strengthen and improve your dancing and dancing abilities. Focusing on the elements that make Partner dancing more fluid, dynamic, powerful and fun: Lowering, Rotation, Swing, Cant and Sway. Developing these basic skills will improve your performance in not just this dance, but in all the dances by giving you more control over your balance, timing, power and expression. Or, in other words, allowing you to dance freely and funly.
And that is just too much fun to miss out on! So, what say you give it a try? Eh?

$10/person youth discount
January’s dance: FOXTROT I
