Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – April 6th 2020

Dear All,

Don’t pay the ransom!  We’ve escaped!

Just kidding.  Like everyone else, we are still trapped at home.  Since we can’t teach publicly, we thought we would keep the class momentum going by refreshing everyone’s memories as to what we had taught so far in the month of March , since we will be picking up where we left off (when we leave off leaving off).  Of course, there will be a suitable period and amount of review in any event, but this is now, and now is what we have to work with.  At least for now.

If any of you are going as stir crazy as we are, we thought you might want to practice at home, so we are listing all of the steps we were covering in March in this e-mail, at both the Wellness Center and the Fort Jones (Saturday’s Mt. Shasta Park Dance Hall class to be addressed later this week).   At the end of this newsletter, we have included our phone number and our e-mail address so that if any of you have a specific question about any of the steps please feel free to contact us.  We should be home.

(And should anyone be curious as to just how stir-crazy are we becoming, let’s just say that all of our soups are purees these days -and our sandwiches are next!  THAT’S how stir crazy we are!)

Also, we do have step charts (systematic step-by-step instructions for each figure) but they are in an Excel format, so you would have to have access to a computer with Excel (or an Excel compatible spreadsheet) on it.  We have the Quick-&-Easy simple version for quick but not necessarily thorough learning, or the complete Everything-You-Need-To-Know-&-More version, which is comprehensive, but far more complex.   Both versions can be attached to an e-mail so if your are interested and you have Excel, you can e-mail us and we will get a copy back to you.

It has been suggested that we post videos, and we would love to do that, but, alas, we are completely without video equipment (not even a smart phone or tablet {and we disabled our laptop camera for privacy reasons years ago}) nor does our home have a space that one (or two) could teach in (most non-conducive).   So this is it, and here it comes (below).
