Dear All,
Here we are, on the eve of another blizzard. We have been frantically digging ourselves out from these lesser storms in the all-but-futile attempt to prepare for the greater storms (like the one coming tonight {Tuesday, 1/10} and tomorrow {Wednesday 1/11}).
We have no qualms about being able to dig ourselves out in time for an evening class, but for some reason, the plow folk seem to be changing their routines this year, and where they used to only plow twice a day (early morning and late afternoon) they are now plowing four to five times a day which has made digging out by class time impossible.
And each time they pass, they push the berm back farther away from the road, which means that not only today’s snow, but snow and hard rocks of ice left over from previous storms end up in our driveway building an even higher, thicker berm than the immediate snowfall warrants.
As we are 100% certain that all/most of you are facing the same problems we do, wherever you live, we need to once again raise the sordid specter of the possibility of cancelling class(es) again this week. We will do our damnedest to make it in to teach, but should it so transpire that we can’t get out, we will send out an e-mail to notify you one and all as early as possible.
Otherwise, see you in classes: Samba on Wednesday night and Quickstep on Thursday night. Be safe.
