Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – May 6th 2024
Dear All,
Now that the single most celebratory week in May is over (May Day, Star Wars Day and Cinco de Mayo all in the same week!), it’s time to knuckle down and get to work (if dancing can be called work). We have two fun ones this month (as if we don’t every month!), Cha-cha on Wednesdays and Foxtrot on Thursdays, so come to classes and develop your skills to make them stronger and stronger (which will make you stronger and stronger, too).
The Cha-cha had a great start last week (but don’t worry, those of you who missed it; we will be reviewing everything before we move on so you are still more than welcome to join us) and we will add a couple of new figures this week. And the Foxtrot, smooth and elegant as ever, will – after also being reviewed – continue on in the same vein of smooth elegance and, of course, practicality. (Let’s ask the question on everyone’ lips after reading the word “vein” in the last sentence: If one is proud of one’s veins, does that make one vein vain? And if one were to construct a weathervane to celebrate the quality of one’s veins, would that then be a vain vein vane? Don’t ask me . . . I just work here!)
So, all nonsense aside, we look forward to seeing you all in classes this week as we look forward to the chance to help you develop all your dance skills. Join us and we will grow strong together.
