Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County – March 4th 2014
Dear Dancer,
March is upon us and before you know it, Spring will be here. Think how lovely it would be if your dance skills were to bloom, blossom and awaken even as nature does the same. . .oh, they can. . . if you come to classes and the practice sessions.
Speaking of which, we are altering the 2nd and 4th Saturday format a little. The 4th Saturday will continue to be a lesson and practice party, but the 2nd Saturday will become an “informal practice session”. For those of you who have felt that you weren’t “good enough yet” to attend a “dance party” of any nature, now you won’t have to worry. Now it is for practice only. Now you can come worry-free.
It will be run somewhat in the manner of a group private (where each of you get to work on whatever you want to) with as much help (or as little interference) from us as you wish. We will be on hand to answer any questions, to help with any technical issues (and to referee any fist fights) that you may have.
Music will be played at your request. All in all, a good chance to go over the steps you have been learning in the weekly classes, learn some new ones and/or learn the tricks and techniques that will improve your step execution and dancing skills in general.
This week both the morning class and the evening informal practice session are going to be held at the Lower Lodge (the one closest to the spring) as the Dudes and Daisies is under repair and the Rec Center (main lodge) is booked.
We look forward to seeing you there (and in our weekly classes).
See you on the dance floor.
