Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County – May 27th 2014

Dear Dancer:

We are happy to announce that our Summer Technique Workshop at the McCloud Dance Hall is going to happen again this year. The dates will be June 23th, 24th and 25th. This will be a morning only workshop, so those of you who are not local can make a vacation get-away AND have a dance workshop as well. We will provide more information next week.

Also, not this weekend but Saturday the 7th, we will be having our annual Ballroom/Country Dance bash when our friends from Sacramento come up. More information below under Saturday’s scheduleCORRECTION:  THIS EVENT HAS BEEN MOVED UP TO THIS WEEK-END, MAY 31ST (details below).

Come to classes this week and brush up your skills for this and other events.

Also coming up later this Summer in July, our Youth Dance Camp. It will be held mornings from July 14th to July – July 18th, sponsored by the Mt. Shasta Parks and Recreation District. If you know of any young people (Elementary School through High School -including those who have just graduated) who might be interested, let them know. Or if you wanted to sponsor a youth yourself, that would be wonderful, too. Again, more information later (or contact us directly now, if you want to find out more).

In the meantime, come to classes and develop your dance skills. It teaches youth good social skills, strengthens the mind against Alzheimer’s and is good exercise for everyone
