Ballroom Newsletter,Siskiyou County August 12th 2014
Dear All,
Well, it’s too late to sign up for the COS Yreka class but not late to sign up for the COS Weed Campus classes Oct. 6-27 (we encourage you to sign up early as the school will cancel the class if there is not at least 10 people enrolled by Sept. 29).
It is also not too late to start attending our August weekly classes at the Wellness Centers. The Beginning class in Swing is still working on the rudimentary steps and everyone in the Viennese Waltz classes are moving at their own best pace of learning, so you would be joining the class also learning at you own best pace.
The interesting thing about the Viennese Waltz is that, in the International style, there are only six recognized steps, so by the end of the month, you will have the whole syllabus (Bronze, Silver and Gold figures) under your belt. Not too many dances about which you can say that (isn’t this sentence a dyslexic’s nightmare?).
So give it a shot, eh? It hurts us to know how much fun the people of Siskiyou County are missing out on by not learning how to dance with a partner. Ease our sorrowed souls and simultaneously do yourselves a great favor and come learn these two fun dances.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
August Classes:
Tuesday night Beginning Class; Swing/Jive
Wednesday night; Waltz/Viennese Waltz
