Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County – October 28 2014

Dear Dancer,

For those of you in the Yreka/Fort Jones area, we will be in Fort Jones again this Friday (more information below) so if you feel a hankerin’ or a yen or the urge to explode in terpsichorean exuberance and you live in that area (or any area), this Friday would be a good day to indulge yourselves.

Other than that, a normal week, except that, Saturday, being the first day of November, will reflect the new dance of the month (Waltz) for the whole month (except the last -fifth- Saturday which will be dedicated to Viennese Waltz).

We will list the November for the rest of the week in our next newsletter.

See you on the Dance Floor

 SATURDAY MORNING TECHNIQUE CLASS: November 1, 8, 15, 21

(Sat. Nov. 29, Viennese Waltz)

MT. SHASTA PARK, DUDES & DAISIES LODGE:

1315 Nixon Rd.

This month’s dance; WALTZ (International Style)

9:45 – 10:45 – Technique Drills in International Standard & American Smooth Style Dances. Focusing on the elements that make partner dancing more fluid, dynamic, powerful and fun: Lowering, Rotation, Swing and Sway. Developing these basic movement skills will improve your performance in, not just this dance, but all of the dances by giving you more control over your balance, timing and power. And that’s just too much fun to miss out on. So give it a try.

10:45 – 11:45 – Amalgamations. Putting the drills you worked on in the first hour to work in the actual steps as you develop more control over the steps, floorcraft and yourself.

Cost : $10 per person

$5 youth discount
