Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – August 25th 2015
Dear All,
Last week of August, and a relatively cool one, too…relative being relative. The perfect weather for active, vigorous dances like the Swing (Jive) and the Samba.
Speaking of the Swing, there has been so much material to cover in the Advanced / Intermediate class (and so much enthusiasm to learn it) that we have decided to steal the first Thursday in September (9/3) for one more Swing/Jive class just to make sure you all get the chance to really absorb the material. That way you can go out and have fun on your own once the class is over.
The Bolero won’t mind…it’s a pretty laid back, forgiving dance with no self-esteem issues (it knows it is the most beautiful of all the dances) and has graciously consented to give up one of its days to that upstart dance Swing.
So, Swing Dancers, you will get this week and next week to really get the steps down and perhaps learn one or two more new ones.
And Bolero Dancers, if you really want four weeks of Bolero, come this Wednesday for the last lesson of the Intermediate class and, bingo!…there’s your fourth lesson. Win-win. Of course, every dance class you take is win-win. So take two and win-win win-win. Or take three and…well, you see where I am taking this. The more you take, the more you win.
See You There, Winners.
