Ballroom Newsletter, Siskiyou County & Northern California – February 16th 2016
Dear All,
Is the chilly hand of Winter still sending shivers down your spine? Is the season of snow and ice still freezing your blood and curling your toes? Is the Polar Vortex still whispering in ears already numb with frost?
Fend these forces off with those internal fires that are fed by the Dance and the impulse to dance and the actual act of dancing. Let your passion’s inner glow fire your whole being into a state of cognizant incandescence and allow your whole being to bask in the warmth of the combined fires of your soul and The Dance.
Then you will be able to replace that chilly hand of Winter with the warm hands of a dancing partner, resuscitate that frozen blood by invoking the hot blood of the Latin fever as expressed in the fiery and sensuous dances of passion, uncurl those toes with the smooth, gliding dances that send them skimming across the dance floor. And, finally, warm those ears with the expressive tones and sounds of the music that refuses to allow your feet to remain motionless.
And all this time, you thought you were just learning how to put your feet down on the floor in arcane patterns, silly you.
Come to class and not only learn how to dance, but also how to release these inner forces, that inner passion, this internal source of fire that is your soul, that is you.
See You There.
